Captain Nemo is the rebel of the group. He is the captain of the ship The Nautilus. He is also in charge of weapons and aircraft in the story. When someone needs a weapon or an escape plan Captain Nemo is the man to see.
Ms. Murray is the leader of the group. Through out the story she is the leader and organizes the teams plans and investigative work. She is often ridiculed by Quatermain and Captain Nemo, but she argues right back claiming she got the group together and she is in charge. Through out the story Ms. Murray also conceals her neck and wears a scarf all through out their adventures.
Here is Dr. Jekyll, a character who is very anxious and alert who is always worrying about things. When Dr. Jekyll is angered or frustrated he becomes Hyde, a huge vicious creature that can cause a lot of harm to people. It is as of Dr. Jekyll is bipolar, he has two personalities, Dr. Jekyll being his normal calm self, and Hyde being his angry brutal side.
Quatermain is an adventurer. In the beginning of the story he is a weak old man that is addicted to opium, but he then turns into a courageous man that is not afraid of danger. Quatermain likes to think of himself as a leader and often criticizes the choices that Ms. Murray makes.
This is Griffin, he is the invisible man. At first he is not really trusted by the rest of the group, because Griffin has a reputation of being a crook and using his invisibility the wrong way. Through out the story the rest of the league learns to trust him a little more since Griffin never does anything to harm his fellow companions, and he also provides help when needed.
